Ten Days in

Ten days on we are now at the drain stage when a man from the council has to come and look into the many holes before we cover it all with concrete. Our next door neighbours cat - Jasper, has been practcing looking into the holes today - clearly a budding career in construction awaits.

It's started

Well, after two years we have finally got all the approvals (and money) needed to build the new East Wing!! Fortunately we were away the day the ground works commenced, with diggers, trucks and skips all creating localised traffic chaos in the Saughtonhall area. Day 2 saw us back from down south just in time to meet the concrete mixer discouraging its contents into what had been a contained area of the garden - as it was all covered in bark.
